The Yang Ma Tower is an elegant skyscraper that was constructed in Taichung, Taiwan.

Alternative Futures (Whiteknee) worked in partnership with Tekten to work on a series of images that explored the form and materiality of this unique skyscraper. The Yang Ma Tower, formerly known as Taichung Condominium Tower, was a significant development and one of Taiwan's tallest towers. It is a 41-story residential skyscraper that was designed by Richard Meier & Partners and HOY Architects.

We created images that helped illustrate the intricate massing of the tower and unique properties of the building skin. This tower is cloaked in a translucent cladding that may look opaque and shiny from one angle, yet soft and translucent from another. We worked closely with the designers to explore these properties at multiple times of day to communicate the value of this proposition and eloquence of the design.
